When is the right time to prune?
Dependant upon species one can prune a tree at most times of the year. There are a few exceptions such as walnut trees which should only be pruned in full leaf and certain maples can be sensitive to pruning in the spring. It also depends on what is trying to be achieved, for instance – increasing fruit production requires apples to be pruned at a certain time.
How much does it cost?
Cost varies significantly depending on the amount of time required to carry out the works and clean up all the mess.
Do I need permission from my Local Authority?
You must have permission to undertake works on trees if they are covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or if they fall within a conservation area. You may also need a felling licence from the Forestry Authority if you are felling more than three metre cubed of timber.
Can you quote over the phone?
